Madison - April in Wisconsin may be unpredictable,
but on Saturday the 28th, it's sure to be a scorcher.
The Mad Rollin' Dolls play in their final bout of the
regular season at Fast Forward Skate Center, and there's
one question on everyone's mind: Who will be the 2007
champs?
In two edge-of-your-seat bouts on March 31st, the underdogs
just weren't able to pull off the wins. The undefeated
Reservoir Dolls nailed down another victory, but not without
the Unholy Rollers baring their fangs. And despite quite the
fight from the Vaudeville Vixens, it wasn't enough kryptonite
to knock out the
superheroes in green. The final scores read Reservoir Dolls
92, Unholy Rollers 66, and Quad Squad 76, Vaudeville Vixens
48.
On Saturday, April 28th, it's a grudge match to end
all grudge matches. For the third consecutive season, the
Reservoir Dolls (4-0) and Quad Squad (3-1) will vie for first
place, while the Vaudeville Vixens (1-3) and Unholy Rollers
(0-4) will battle it out for third. It's down to the
wire, and the Dolls will be kicking it
into overdrive in the battle for the championship trophy leg.
At halftime, grab a Rolling Rock and stay in your seats for
Street Feminique, an all-girl breakdancing squad whose moves
will blow your mind. And after the bout, get ready for the
most rockin' party of the year at the High Noon Saloon
with Madison faves Awesome Car Funmaker, Nice Peter, and Screamin'
Cyn Cyn and the Pons.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door and are available
at Fast Forward Skate Center, Freedom/Knuckleheads, Capital
City Tattoo, Cha Cha Beauty Parlor, Lakeside Press, the High
Noon Saloon, and at www.madrollindolls.com. A portion of the
bout proceeds will go to the Briarpatch Runaway & Homeless
Youth Program.
