Madison, February, 15, 2007 — Arctic temperatures and
gale-force winds can't keep the loyal fans of the Mad
Rollin' Dolls away from Fast Forward this season. The
capacity crowd on February 3rd shouted encouragement, held
up hand-made signs, and generally made a righteous raucous
as the dazzling Dolls hit the track with speed and fury.
In two blowout matches, the Quad Squad and the Reservoir
Dolls managed to make off with the points, and the sweet smell
of victory lingered in their wakes. But the Vaudeville Vixens
and the Unholy Rollers didn't take their medicine lying
down - and a spoonful of sugar never looked so good.
The final scoreboards read Quad Squad 96, Vaudeville Vixens
59, and Reservoir Dolls 115, Unholy Rollers 44.
On Saturday, March 3rd, the Dolls promise to heat up the
Mad City once again, as the undefeated Reservoir Dolls take
on the lean, mean Vaudeville Vixens, and the Quad Squad -
superheroes in green - test their luck with the hungry,
hellish Unholy Rollers. The Mad Rollin' Dolls oppose
global warming, but they won't be able to help raising
the temperature a few delicious degrees when they strap on
their skates and get rolling …
MRD loves to give back to the community, and a portion of
the evening's proceeds will go to The ACLU of Wisconsin
Foundation. At halftime, Revolver - the hot hula hoop
duo from Chicago - and the ever-popular Mascot Olympics
will keep the masses entertained as the Dolls catch their
breath. After the bout, the party gets started at the High
Noon Saloon, where entertainment will be provided by The Pints,
The Amadain Bhoys and The Ants. Tickets are $10 in advance,
$12 at the door and are available at Fast Forward Skate Center,
Freedom/Knuckleheads, Capital City Tattoo, Cha Cha Beauty
Parlor, Lakeside Press, the High Noon Saloon, and at www.madrollindolls.com.
