Madison, July 2, 2007 - Saturday, July 14th, Madison's
very own Dairyland Dolls bring their signature style and milk-fed
strength to the track when they face Tucson Roller Derby's
Saddletramps at Fast Forward Skate Center.
This second bout of the Dairyland Dolls' inter-league
season will be pivotal for the Mad Rollin' Dolls. Currently
ranked fourth in the nation, your girls in blue and white
are poised to take control of the national derby scene, and
beating the Saddletramps is the first step to derby domination.
The Saddletramps are riding high, ranked second in the nation,
and are looking to hone their skills before the national tournament
this fall. These two teams met once before, in the Dust Devil
tournament in February ‘06. The Saddletramps lassoed
a victory there, with the advantage of a roster of broken-in
skaters used to inter-league competition. Now the Dairyland
Dolls are relishing the thought of toppling the Tramps and
solidifying their place at the peak of the flat track roller
derby mountain.
After the bout, head to the Badger Bowl, 506 E. Badger Rd.,
as the Dolls and the 'Tramps cauterize their wounds
and party the night away as only Wisconsinites can: with beer,
bands, and bowling. The Cornfed Dames, .357 String Band, and
Mike Gunther and his Restless Souls will keep it rockin'
and rollin' all night long.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door and are available
at Fast Forward Skate Center, Freedom/Knuckleheads, Capital
City Tattoo, Cha Cha Beauty Parlor, Lakeside Press, the High
Noon Saloon, and at www.madrollindolls.com.
