Madison, May 31, 2007 — The Mad Rollin' Dolls throw
the rink doors wide open this July, looking for this season's
bumper crop. Interested? You must be 21 or older, a girl,
and ready to rock it, derby style. MRD will be accepting 10-20
girls onto the league based on skill, personality and teachability.
Think your skating's not quite up to par? The MRD is hosting
a series of open skates to expose derby girl wannabes to Derby
101 and get a good look at them before tryouts. $5 with skate
rental, $3 without; recruits may bring emotional support but
no slack-jawed rubberneckers allowed.
Open-skate times will be held at Fast Forward Skate Center,

The Mad Rollin' Dolls 2007 tryouts will be held Saturday,
July 21 at 4:30 p.m. sharp, with callbacks on Sunday, July
22 at 10:00 a.m., at Fast Forward Skate Center, 4649 Verona
Rd. Please be on time, bring a photo ID and your own skates
and pads if possible. Tryouts are closed - leave your
friends and loved ones in
the parking lot.
Being a roller derby star requires mental and physical strength,
and a whole lot of time. If you can't make the commitment
