The Mad Rollin' Dolls rang in the holidays with a spectacularly festive flat-track roller derby bout Saturday night at Fast Forward. Members of all four home teams were thrown onto two holiday-themed teams for the extra-special expo bout. The Sugar Plum Scaries and the Ho Ho Ho's fast, fun play fired up the near-capacity audience. Both teams had their fair share of experienced players showing their nice and naughty sides, and the impressive new recruits proved that they can't wait to roll out strong in the 2007 season. At the end of three 20-minute periods, the Scaries' Nutcrackerjack had made the most of Immaculate Miss Conception's creative holiday penalty fun, but Gingerbread Mouse and the Ho's racked up enough points to win the last bout of the year, 125 to 94.
