The Mad Rollin' Dolls 2006 season championships brought a rematch
of the 2005 championship bout, with the Quad Squad and the Reservoir
Dolls battling for first and the Vaudeville Vixens and the Unholy
Rollers vying for third. However, the similarities ended there;
June 10 was the culmination of a season of growth, hard work, blood,
sweat, and tears, and the Dolls weren't looking back when they hit
the track.

tiny-tanks and then got right down to business, with their regular
jammer lineup outscoring the Vaudeville Vixens 7-2 in the first
three jams. They threw out another surprise: putting every player
into the jammer lineup. But the Vixens weren't stopping
to ask questions, as Chop Suzzy (26 points) put up 6-0 and 7-1
jams to close the gap. The Vixens had their eyes on the prize
and knew that even without veteran jammer Hell Kat, their team
was prime to take third place. They were only one point behind
as they went to the locker room at the half. |
| Meanwhile, the Quad Squad and Reservoir Dolls
got ready to fight a grudge match that goes back to last May.
The 2005 season championships were decided in the final minutes
of the game and fueled the fire between the teams in the 2006
season. Each side came to the 2006 finals with one win and one
loss against the other, ready to battle for the championship trophy
leg. This bout was a nail-biter from the first whistle, as both teams
were held scoreless for the first jam. Action in the pack was
hard-hitting and fast-paced, and the Res Dolls took an early lead.
With five and a half minutes left in the first half, Big Bang
(34 points) scored 11 points to bring the game within one point,
but Crackerjack (29 points) responded with an eight-pointer, giving
the Reservoir Dolls a solid lead going into the half. | pic by Papa-Razzi |

with solid jamming from the entire team. But Vixen blocker Peter
Pannies, back after a long absence, left little opportunity for
the Unholy jammers, playing a solid, aggressive defense and earning
five jammer takedowns. Meanwhile, Chop Suzzy kept rollin'
and racking up the points, scoring a 9-3 jam to get within one
point of the Unholies. Then, with only four minutes left in the
game, Captain Dolly Pardon Me (33 points) pulled the Vixens into
the lead with a 7-0 jam. The Vixens' hard work had finally
paid off as they improved on last season's results, taking
home a third-place finish. Final score: Vaudeville Vixens 62, Unholy Rollers 54 |
| The Quad Squad regrouped in the second period
and, perhaps inspired by the Vixen's win, Jenny Knoxville
(23 points) outscored Mouse (11 points) 9-0 in the first jam.
Two jams later Crackerjack tied it back up with a seven-pointer.
The lead went back and forth until Big Bang put 10 points on the
board, pulling the Quad Squad into the lead and giving them the
momentum to finish the season with a triumphant win.
Final score: Quad Squad 64, Reservoir Dolls 54
Scores:
Vaudeville Vixens 62, Unholy Rollers 54
